I'm retired USAF, and have been living in Israel since 1977.
I remember the Jewish Welfare Board supplied Matza, Wine, and canned chicken soup with Kneidlach for Pesach.
I imagine that the JWB is still doing its thing and that your supply of packaged food helps make for more variety, especially during the rest of the year.
I was shomer mizvot for 20 years of service. G-d will help you stay strong as you serve your country.

I am British/Israel My Grandfather was a commander in the Royal Navy for 30 years, My father was a Fireman during the blitz of London and Ive done my share in Israel too.
I am very proud of our race who throught history have shown we are worriors, We should register all Jewish service people world wide.

Found your website looking for information on what it is like being a Jewish soldier. This is because the USY and Kadima chapter that I am the advisor for are sending care packages to Jewish soldiers overseas
